Support Engineer

Responsibilities
- Researching, designing, implementing, testing, commissioning, and documenting new hardware and software systems.
- Programming of PLC and HMI used for the RICADO software.
- Providing remote and onsite technical support
- Being a member of the after-hours on-call team.
- Troubleshooting and debugging performance issues
- Working with vendors and hardware suppliers to implement and support systems
- Supporting the hardware engineering team and software team.
- Following industry-standard processes and procedures
- Consulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals.
- Provide training to users and fellow staff members

Qualifications
While a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is advantageous, it is not necessarily a prerequisite for a person who can demonstrate suitable experience, alternative training, and skills.
Working Knowledge and Experience Required
Minimum
- Knowledge and interest in computer systems, servers, cloud systems and the latest technologies
- Familiarity with a wide range of hardware devices, displays, IoT devices and network technologies
- Strong understanding of wireless, cellular, Bluetooth, LoRaWAN and telemetry solutions.
- Strong understanding of embedded software solutions and industrial PLCs
