Responsibilities

  • Researching, designing, implementing, testing, commissioning, and documenting new hardware and software systems.
  • Programming of PLC and HMI used for the RICADO software.
  • Providing remote and onsite technical support
  • Being a member of the after-hours on-call team.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging performance issues
  • Working with vendors and hardware suppliers to implement and support systems
  • Supporting the hardware engineering team and software team.
  • Following industry-standard processes and procedures
  • Consulting with departments or customers on project status and proposals.
  • Provide training to users and fellow staff members

Qualifications

While a bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is advantageous, it is not necessarily a prerequisite for a person who can demonstrate suitable experience, alternative training, and skills.

Working Knowledge and Experience Required

Minimum

  • Knowledge and interest in computer systems, servers, cloud systems and the latest technologies
  • Familiarity with a wide range of hardware devices, displays, IoT devices and network technologies
  • Strong understanding of wireless, cellular, Bluetooth, LoRaWAN and telemetry solutions.
  • Strong understanding of embedded software solutions and industrial PLCs
