About the Role
The Regional Team Lead collaborates with senior regional leaders to oversee financial integrity and controls for capital projects, ensuring effective planning, reporting, and risk management. They provide project accounting support for initiatives under $50 million, deliver clear financial insights, and champion process improvements and automation.
Key focus areas:
- Partnering with stakeholders to develop long-term capital investment plans.
- Supporting project endorsement, procurement, and contract finance reviews.
- Escalating and managing financial risks in project delivery.
- Guiding regional finance teams and embedding national policies and processes.
This role is central to driving efficiency, strengthening controls, and ensuring successful capital project outcomes across the Region.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Experience applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi in practice.
- 3-5 years' financial management/accounting experience with strong stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Proven ability to guide accounting practice discussions to ensure regional consistency.
- Skilled in fostering a collaborative, high‑performance, solution‑focused culture.
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional membership.
