Accounts Payable Team Leader | Wellington CBD

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Team Leader to join our Wellington corporate office.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll combine strong technical accounts payable expertise with people leadership, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant AP operations across the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a team of Accounts Payable professionals
  • Overseeing end-to-end AP processing, including invoices, payment runs, reconciliations, and staff expenses
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and legislation
  • Acting as an escalation point for supplier and internal queries
  • Supporting month-end activities and continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience leading or supervising an Accounts Payable team
  • Strong end-to-end knowledge of accounts payable processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • 5+ years' experience in Accounts Payable
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency
