Do you have a range of civils, structures or roading experience and are keen to work on projects across Wellington with travel opportunities to other key projects across the lower North Island?

With a strong outlook on future works and a team dedicated to training and promoting from within, this role will give an established Engineer a wide range of future opportunities, including progression into Project Management. Future projects include earthworks and land development, structural and utilities, streetscape, marine and rail

Key accountabilities of the position include:

  • Understand contract drawings and be able to communicate specifications.
  • Develop strong working relationships with teams to ensure measurements and quantities are in line with the goals of the project.
  • Assist Project Managers with project planning, including programme, work methods, and procurement.
  • Ensuring Quality Assurance of direct and subcontract works.
  • Prepare Work Plans, Inspections, Test Plans, and Job Risk Analysis
  • Maintain record keeping for performance monitoring
  • Uphold high standards for all matters relating to safety

About you:

  • You hold a New Zealand Citizenship or Residency.
  • You hold a trade qualification from the civil / water industry or an NZCE or civil qualification.
  • You have worked alongside New Zealand field crews.
  • You will have 5+ years of experience within the civil or water infrastructure sector.
  • Ability to relate to a wide variety of people, building and developing strong relationships.
