Our client is looking for a Management & Cost Accountant who enjoys variety, someone who can get into the detail with costing and reporting, but also work alongside the wider team to make good business decisions.

This is a hands-on role that sits between finance and operations. You'll be across product costing, monthly reporting, and providing useful insights that actually help people make sense of the numbers. It's a busy environment but well-supported, with a Financial Controller who values accuracy, communication, and initiative.

Key focus areas:

  • Keep product costing accurate and up to date
  • Analyse variances and support pricing/margin reviews.
  • Pull together monthly reports and forecasts that make sense (not just tick boxes).
  • Work with operations, procurement, and sales to explain the story behind the numbers.
  • Help with month-end, reconciliations, and audit prep.
  • Be part of a team that looks for smarter ways to do things.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience in management accounting (manufacturing/product environment desirable).
  • Strong cost accounting and reporting skills.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, LN etc).
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and proactive with problem-solving.
  • A good sense of humour and an approachable, down-to-earth nature.
  • Collaborative and people-focused, with the ability to connect well across all levels of the business.
