About the role

We are a boutique CA practice, specialising in providing tax consulting services. We are seeking a fully qualified BAS Intermediate/Senior to join our thriving accounting practice in Newmarket, Auckland. This is a full-time role (37.5hrs per week), but consideration will be given to applicants who are available to work at least 30hrs per week. The position involves:

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing monthly management reports for clients, including bookkeeping and payroll
  • Assisting clients with in house accounting issues
  • Preparation of annual financial statements
  • Preparation of tax returns for a variety of entities and trusts
  • Assisting with other accounting and advisory services as required

What we're looking for

  • At least 4 years of experience in a BAS Intermediate/Senior role within a chartered acounting practice
  • Sound working knowledge of NZ tax laws
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using Xero and MYOB
  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
