Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to join the Central North Island (CNI) Process Technical Team in a permanent position. We are looking for a Clean - In- Place (CIP) aligned Senior Process Technologist to join our Lichfield site where you will be responsible for providing outstanding technical support to our manufacturing site, plant processes and ensure production are within manufacturing capability and regulatory requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity to deepen and broaden your skill set in a CIP focused alignment and gain exposure to Lichfield and the wider CNI manufacturing processes and teams.

You will be joining a highly motivated and engaged team who work together to provide solutions to the business. Reporting to the Process Technical Manager - CNI you will support the delivery of high-quality product to Fonterra customers, while optimising current asset performance, commissioning new assets, developing technical standards, and maintaining core capabilities within the organisation.

In this varied role your key responsibilities will include:

• Provide problem-solving and support for process exceptions to help return plant to stable operation and capability
• Drive the development of new and / or improved processes in manufacturing and commercialisation of technologies
• Liaise with operating staff to continually identify and drive operating improvements against performance benchmarks
• Deliver support and leadership for factory-specific, site and region/national improvement projects
• Active contribution to the CIP community of practice, assist in mentoring and maintain an understanding of industry best practices.
• This is a fantastic opportunity to develop and use your technical expertise and create sustained commercial value for Fonterra through optimising CIP practices and performance in new and existing processes.

Mōu | About You

We are looking for a driven individual with a strong technical mindset and passion for process improvement.

We want to hear from candidates who are interested in growing and developing their skills and experience in the following areas:

• Foundational knowledge in CIP, chemistry and demonstrated technical support delivery to sites with guidance, issue resolution and improvement projects
• Preferably commissioning experience and good understanding of CIP Validation
• Strong leadership and influence, with good stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance regional-level tactical execution and activity prioritisation
• Technical subject leadership with ability to coach & mentor others
• Project management skills including analysis, planning, execution and reporting
• Adaptability and resilience in a face-paced environment
• Experience with national program rollouts or multi-site operations is advantageous.
• A qualification in Food Technology or Engineering would be advantageous but not essential.
