My client is a leading building products business focused on delivering high-performance panels and building envelope solutions across the South Island. They are seeking an experienced Specification Sales professional to join their team, building credibility with architects, engineers and other technical decision makers.

This is a hands-on role for someone with technical knowledge and construction industry experience, who enjoys long-term relationship building and working closely with a collaborative team.

What you will be doing

• Managing and growing relationships with architects, engineers, builders and contractors across the South Island

• Promoting building envelope and panel solutions to technical audiences

• Preparing and delivering presentations and meetings

• Working closely with the specification and sales team to support campaigns and collateral

• Tracking and reporting on KPIs, pipeline, and market activity using Salesforce or other systems

• Occasional travel across the South Island, flexible to drive or fly, plus supporting national events as needed

About you

• Experienced in specification and technical sales within the construction and building industry

• Strong knowledge of building performance, compliance, weather tightness, and acoustics

• Comfortable with long sales cycles, building credibility over months and years

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to influence technical decision makers

• Self-starter with attention to detail and the ability to manage your own territory

• Collaborative, working effectively with internal teams to achieve results

• Experienced and senior-level specification sales professional able to operate autonomously
