About Upstock

Upstock is a multiple award-winning SaaS start-up founded by the creators of Xero. Our digital ordering platform is transforming how thousands of wholesale food & beverage businesses operate across NZ and Australia. We automate their manual ordering, eliminate inefficiency, and strengthen trading relationships. As we scale, we need a Marketing Specialist to help tell that story.

About the role

Working directly with the Head of Marketing, your role will be hands-on, focused on executing marketing initiatives. You will plan and create content that resonates with our customers, manage ongoing marketing activities, and execute campaigns that drive awareness, generate leads, and nurture customer relationships. This is a hands-on position where you will see the direct impact of your work.

You will:

  • Champion our customers: Build relationships, understand their challenges, and showcase their success through content.
  • Execute content strategy: Plan and create blogs, customer stories, emails, and website copy that supports the buyer journey.
  • Drive social media & campaigns: Execute engaging social content and collaborate on strategy.
  • Own webinars: Plan, promote, and deliver webinars while supporting other campaigns with content.
  • Analyse & optimize: Track performance, interpret insights, and inform next steps.
  • Adapt & innovate: Take on new marketing initiatives as priorities evolve.
  • Collaborate externally: Work with video and design contractors as needed.

You will bring:

  • 3+ years in marketing, ideally SaaS, agency, or food & beverage.
  • Exceptional writing ability that makes complex topics engaging.
  • Proven experience creating social media content that delivers results.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or similar CRMs.
  • Editing skills and familiarity with Figma or Canva.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven mindset that drives work forward.
