TE TŪRANGA I THE ROLE:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing Specialist to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract.

The Marketing Specialist will drive the planning and execution of high-profile traditional marketing campaigns that enhance brand performance and customer engagement across Sky, NEON, Sky Open, Sky Originals, and Broadband.

This is a role suited to marketers who thrive in large, complex organisations — those who are confident navigating cross-functional environments, working with senior stakeholders, and delivering campaigns at scale across TV, OOH, print, radio, direct marketing, events, and strategic partnerships.

You'll bring corporate-level discipline, operational excellence, and a commercial mindset to every campaign you lead.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting market research and competitor analysis to inform strategic positioning, campaign narrative, and channel strategy

• Collaborating with internal teams across product, brand, and content to support priority campaigns, launches, and corporate initiatives

• Managing end-to-end campaign delivery, including briefing, asset development, approval workflows, production, rollout, and measurement

• Overseeing internal and external creative partners, and working closely with media teams to deliver best-practice execution across owned and paid channels

• Optimising campaigns using customer insights, performance data, and brand metrics to drive continuous improvement

• Managing internal stakeholders across multiple business areas, ensuring alignment, clarity, and timely decision-making

• Leading relationships with external media agencies, creative partners, entertainment studios, and production suppliers

• Ensuring all campaign activity meets corporate brand standards, governance requirements, and commercial objectives

NGĀ PŪKENGA ME NGĀ WHEAKO I WHAT YOU WILL BRING 

With 4- 7 years of proven marketing experience, ideally gained in a large corporate environment, you bring a strong commercial lens to your work. You're comfortable managing complex projects, balancing multiple priorities, and delivering high-quality campaigns under pressure.

You combine strategic thinking with disciplined execution and bring a confident, collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement — essential for success in matrixed organisations like Spark, One NZ, or Air NZ.

You will also bring:

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

• Strong understanding of marketing frameworks, insights, media channels, and brand measurement

• Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field

• Experience managing external agencies or creative partners is advantageous
