Night Manager – Queenstown Lakefront

Location: Queenstown Lakefront

Position Type: Permanent, Rostered Night Shifts (Approx. 30 hours/week)

Are you a night owl who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment? Join our team at Haka House Queenstown Lakefront as our Night Manager, where you'll play a key role in keeping things running smoothly while the rest of the town sleeps.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the hostel during night hours, ensuring guest safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all common areas, including reception.
  • Complete accurate night audits and financial reports for the property.
  • Manage guest check-ins, check-outs, payments, and reservation queries.
  • Act as the face of management overnight, resolving guest issues with professionalism and care.
  • Monitor security and ensure Health & Safety protocols are followed.
  • Support the Reservations team with overflow enquiries when needed.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience with Mews PMS & Nayax systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven customer service experience and a passion for youth tourism.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
  • Confidence working with data sets and Excel.
  • Experience in finance or similar roles is a bonus.
  • Sound knowledge of health & safety requirements.
