Our Central Otago business is continuing to grow; we have more projects coming on board and we need a Construction Manager to guide and lead our construction teams.

Based in Wanaka, you will work closely with project managers, construction administration, suppliers, sub-contractors and tradespeople to lead the construction team on all required deliverables.

The team deliver a range of builds from turnkeys, home and land, and design and build homes. Your leadership role will be responsible for:

  • Construction specialist support at the purchasing/design stage.
  • Support Client Relationship Management through effective delivery.

  • Drive delivery processes and systems, both pre contract and post contract, through leading quality outcomes of project KPI's:

  • Health, safety, and wellbeing: On site and in the office.

  • Financial: Profit and cashflow.
  • Quality: Build and documentation quality.
  • Programming: Tender and construction stages.
  • Lead and provide the necessary support to the project managers, site team and construction administration.
  • Ensure future projections for workflow, pipeline and resourcing are administered effectively.
  • Implement operations improvements.

Does this sound like you?

  • Experienced construction professional with strong leadership skills
  • Good working knowledge of the NZ Building Code and NZS3604
  • Experience working with customers, suppliers, contractors and Health and Safety
  • Confident on a computer (both MS Office and project apps)
  • Well-organised with effective time management, good communication and able to adapt to internal systems and processes.
