We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Internal Sales Estimator to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role blends technical sales expertise with accurate estimation skills to support our aluminium and sheet metal product offerings. Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Estimation

  • Review drawings and specifications to develop detailed cost estimates.
  • Analyse material, labour, and time requirements for architectural metalwork projects.
  • Prepare and present quotations and proposals.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, and Design teams to ensure alignment.
  • Engage with clients to understand needs and recommend solutions.
  • Handle inquiries via website, phone, email, and site visits.
  • Build strong client relationships, especially for smaller residential projects.
  • Support commercial tenders and facilitate PS1 documentation.

Project Support

  • Convert quotes to live projects in ERP system.
  • Compile handover documentation for Project Managers.
  • Track and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support pricing variations and provide technical assistance during manufacturing and installation.

Additional Duties

  • Stay informed on industry trends and market conditions.
  • Assist with internal software development and administrative tasks.

What You'll Bring:
  • Experience in technical sales and estimation within aluminium, sheetmetal, or architectural metals.
  • Strong understanding of NZ construction methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, CRM (Hubspot); Bluebeam experience is a plus.
  • Relevant qualification (e.g., QS Diploma).
  • High accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
