**Our client** is a leading construction company dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Estimating Manager to join their team and play a key role in shaping their success.

As the Estimating Manager you will be responsible for managing the estimating, tendering, and pricing functions with a focus on producing competitive and successful offers. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead a team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of tendering processes and contribute to the overall success of our projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Bid Management**:

- Act as bid manager for all allocated tenders.
- Produce winning tenders supported by a competent methodology and attributes.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers for obtaining the best supply prices.
- Monitor industry sources and plan for preferred sources of work.

**2. Tendering**:

- Lead the full management of allocated tenders and quotations.
- Establish and maintain a risk register for each project.
- Utilize company operations staff for methodology, performance assumptions, and contractual interpretations.
- Prepare and finalize attributes for submission, including project risk, offer methodologies, and quantitative proposals.

**3. Relationship Management**:

- Participate in the company contact and relationship program with a focus on clients, potential clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.

**4. Tender Award**:

- Ensure a formal handover to the divisional manager and/or contract manager for every tender and quotation.
- Attend to the formal acceptance and confirm this to the respective divisional manager.

**5. Records Management**:

- Maintain a database of bids won and bids lost.
- Keep records of all documents related to each offer, including tender documentation, acceptance/decline notices, and formal contracts.
- Develop and maintain a preferred supplier list.

**6. Other Responsibilities**:

- Contribute actively to the company culture of producing winning tenders.
- Deliver into the company Quality Management System and update processes as required.
- Produce quantitative monthly/YTD reports on tendering results.
- Contribute to regular review sessions on internal charge rates for labor and plant.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar.
- Proven experience in bid management and tendering within the construction industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management and estimating software.

You must have citizenship or permanent residency with solid NZ experience to be considered for this position.
