Inventory Manager

MOVE Logistics and Warehousing is a leading nationwide Third-Party Logistics, Warehousing and Transport provider to some of New Zealand's largest businesses.
We are now looking for an Inventory Manager to join our Inventory Team to come and join our Lion Pride contract based at the East Tamaki office.
This position would suit someone with proven inventory and data analytics experience , preferably in a logistics / warehousing environment, who is committed to providing effective hands-on service to meet customer expectations and internal deadlines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and lead the wider inventory team at the Lion Site
- To ensure customer physical inventory is managed in such a way to meet customer service levels and minimise cost impact of stock losses
- Excellent proficiency in data visualisation and reporting tools to clearly communicate performance metrics
- To effectively support applicable warehouse operations and supervise, manage and develop Inventory Controllers involved in the warehouse operations
- To look for continuous improvements in the warehousing operations which will lead to more efficiently run operations
- To develop systems and processes to effectively manage and control inventory, including regular reporting and continuous improvement projects
- To support the site managers to manage all inventory costs and revenue effectively to ensure the operations are profitable
- To project manage assigned projects and actively seek new projects to undertake
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Paperless WMS knowledge preferred
- Intermediate-Advanced MS Office skills
- Advanced knowledge of Warehouse Management and Inventory Management systems and reporting
- Strong customer focus and emphasis on service excellence
- Ability to manage, prioritise and meet key deadlines
- A strong sense of teamwork as well as the ability to work independently
- A high level of attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
