Full-Time Account Manager (6-Month Maternity Leave Cover)

With potential for ongoing 3-month extensions

We are seeking a highly independent, trustworthy, and exceptionally organised Full-Time Account Manager to provide maternity leave cover for an initial 6-month contract, with the possibility of extending every three months up to a year.

This position covers a wide North Island territory, requiring regular travel and strong self-management. The role follows an 8-week cyclic travel schedule, during which you will represent one of New Zealand's largest and most respected weight-management product ranges within pharmaceutical retail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, strengthen, and grow relationships with pharmacy retail partners across the North Island.
  • Conduct scheduled store visits on an 8-week rotation, maintaining brand presence and ensuring outstanding product representation.
  • Deliver in-store training to staff on product knowledge, customer engagement, and best-practice usage.
  • Oversee stock flow, inventory levels, displays, and on-shelf availability to support consistent sales.
  • Respond quickly to any issues that arise, reporting back immediately to ensure fast and effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and timely digital reporting using the provided iPad for every store visit.
  • Represent the brand professionally, demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills.

About You

  • Highly independent, organised, and trustworthy — able to self-manage travel, scheduling, and priorities across a large territory.
  • Comfortable working autonomously, often on the road, while maintaining strong communication with the broader team.
  • Confident in building and maintaining relationships with retail partners.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled at identifying issues early.
  • Experience within pharmaceutical, health, or wellness industries is an advantage.
  • Competent with digital reporting and mobile technology.

Contract Details

  • Full-time role, initially a 6-month maternity leave contract.
  • Option to extend in 3-month increments.
  • Territory spans the North Island, requiring regular travel around Auckland, North and Central North Island locations.
  • Reporting tools provided, including an iPad.
