Our client is an iconic Australasian company established almost 60 years ago.
They have grown to become the largest supplier of world-class brands and educational 'hands-on' resources to educational institutions throughout Australia and New Zealand. They are also Australasia's premier supplier of sport, fitness and active play equipment to schools, clubs and community.
They are now seeking a new shining star to join their NZ team in the key role of Customer Service & Sales Administrator. You will join a small, passionate, focused, and fun team based in their brand-new office in the lovely, go-ahead suburb of Hobsonville.
The role incorporates a number of core responsibilities that help ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across their large and diverse customer base. This includes promptly responding to and resolving queries, managing sales-related administration, and supporting the NZ sales team to deliver seamless, efficient customer experiences.
Broadly, the position has three key areas of responsibility, being:
1. Customer Service for three key business units/brands
2. Sales Administration and Support
3. Continuous Improvement
The star candidate we're seeking will have all or most of the following skills, experience, aptitude or attributes:
- 2+ years Customer Service (mostly phone & email) experience in a customer service, sales or call centre type work environment;
- Customer-focused mindset with problem-solving abilities;
- Intermediate skills and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook email);
- Strong communication (verbal & written) and interpersonal skills;
- A 'hands-on', highly energetic, well-organised person with a passion for customer service excellence;
- A high level of accuracy and strong attention to detail;
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced workplace;
- Proficiency with Salesforce (or a similar CRM) and customer service platforms;
- A genuine team player with high initiative and ability to think laterally, and a proactive approach;
- A friendly, warm and engaging personality who can smile with their eyes and voice;
- Strong time management;
- Punctual and reliable with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
The successful applicant will report to the NZ General Manager, but will also have significant involvement with the NZ sales team and the Australian customer support team. The core working days/hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
