You will hit the ground running reporting to the Director of Business Operations, focusing on the below tasks:

  • Lead strategic financial planning, reporting, compliance, and audits.
  • Oversee procurement, contract management, and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure legislative compliance and effective systems/processes.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture.
  • Lead the coordination team for organisation-wide activities and executive support.
  • Manage, coach, and develop your team.
  • Foster strong relationships across SWRB and with external stakeholders.
  • Embed Te Ao Māori (te reo Māori, tikanga, kawa, Te Tiriti o Waitangi) into the way you do the mahi.

Mōhou ake | About you

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualification in financial management and/or chartered accounting.
  • At least 5 years' experience in financial and procurement management, ideally in government or complex organisations.
  • Proven management experience leading teams.
  • Experience in strategic financial planning, Board reporting, and procurement systems.
  • Experience in the social sector and/or regulatory environment is an advantage.

The Social Workers Registration Board (SWRB) / Kāhui Whakamana Tauwhiro is a Crown Entity which is Aotearoa's social worker regulator and lead agency for social worker workforce planning.

It protects the safety of members of the public by ensuring social workers are competent and safe to practise and are accountable for the way in which they practise. It also enhances social workers' professional practice and provide insight into the opportunities and challenges facing the social worker workforce.
