Mō te tūranga | About the Role
You will be responsible for managing a dynamic portfolio of Asian business customers, shaping their success through tailored banking and financial solutions. Your ability to deeply understand each customers industry, challenges and goals will enable you to provide customised support to help them achieve their business and financial ambitions. You will ensure you operate in accordance with compliance, AML and CCCFA regulations so a strong understanding of these policies is a must.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of valuable customers, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients to provide personalised banking solutions.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market research.
- Staying informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to provide strategic advice.
We know that building and driving key relationships as well as executing the deal requires a team of great people to support you, so this role will see you have the support from a team of Analysts and a wider team of Relationship Consultants.

This role will see you be accountable for managing and growing a portfolio of Asian business customers so strong relationship skills will be critical to your success. Your engaging and professional nature will be what draws your networks to you, as well as being customer centric. In addition, you will have:
- A strong understanding of the Asian business sector
- Strong Business/Corporate lending experience is required
- Sound knowledge of product & pricing, compliance, and credit risk processes
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills combined with exceptional interpersonal, communication and networking skills
- A growth mindset and ambition to grow and develop your corporate banking career
- Highly developed business insight and acumen, effectively acting on and communicating your knowledge.
