Overview

NorthTec has an excellent opportunity for a highly organised, digitally confident, and detail-focused Contracts Coordinator to join our Finance team in Whangārei. This is a permanent, part-time (0.5 FTE) role based at our Whangārei campus and is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and regular interaction with colleagues across the organisation.

Reporting to the Funding and Performance Manager, you will provide high-quality administrative support to ensure NorthTec's contracts and agreements are well managed, accurate, and easy to access. This is a practical, hands-on role with real variety and the chance to make a meaningful contribution to our Finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the central contracts register
  • Assist with drafting and formatting contracts using standard templates
  • Ensure contracts, MOUs, and agreements are accurately recorded, filed, and monitored
  • Support STAR and Trades Academy administration

Skills, Experience and Attributes

  • We're looking for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity and has high attention to detail
  • Experience in office administration, contracts support, or a similar coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Confidence using digital tools and systems (particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and shared document systems)
  • A friendly, professional manner and the ability to work well with a wide range of people
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines without losing accuracy
  • A flexible, adaptable approach and openness to learning new tasks
  • Experience in the education or public sector is helpful but not essential.
