We are working closely with a well-established New Zealand manufacturer to help them secure a talented Product Development Technologist—someone who thrives in the alchemy of ideas, trials, scale-up, and technical problem solving.

What you will do

  • Lead product development from concept through trials and into commercial manufacture
  • Run factory scale-ups, manufacturing trials, and application testing
  • Support continuous improvement across formulations, processes, and existing products
  • Liaise with customers, sales, manufacturing, and technical teams to ensure product success
  • Maintain documentation, specifications, ERP inputs, and compliance requirements

What we are looking for

  • Solid NPD experience in a commercial food manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on factory exposure, especially with scaling products to production
  • Strong communication, technical curiosity, and problem-solving capability
  • A collaborative attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to diverse applications
  • Degree in Food Science/Food Technology or relevant experience
