Our Opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Product Development Technologist to join our Diary R&D team in Auckland. With your passion and expertise in Dairy, you will play a key role in the facilitation and development of product innovation and new food development projects for milk, yoghurt, cheese & custard.

**As the Senior PDT for Dairy you will**:

- Manage product improvement, new product development and cost saving projects to specified outcomes
- Source and select raw ingredients
- Create robust formulations that meet production and consumer requirements
- Conduct robust bench and factory trials, and provide technical support where required to ensure quality standards are achieved
- Develop detailed costings of products
- Oversee sensory testing and meet sensory and acceptability evaluation targets
- Ensure all products meet HACCP, quality & SHE requirements
- Develop detailed product and process specifications for the business to commercialise products
- Managing multiple projects, developing project briefs, plans and timelines
- Input into the development of Product and Category strategy and innovation plans for our Dairy portfolio

About You
- Tertiary qualification in Food Technology or Sciences
- 4+ years' experience in the FMCG industry in a technical capacity
- End to end food product/process development within the manufacturing environment
- Strong product formulation understanding and ability
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
- Project Management
