About the Opportunity
The Product Development Technologist will be responsible for a portfolio of projects, as part of a cross functional team within R&D launching new products into the dairy category for Goodman Fielder.
**The role will be accountable for**: delivery of a portfolio of NPD projects against marketing briefs and continuous improvement projects executed using agreed product development & change management processes, quality and regulatory requirements and manufacturing capability, along with providing technical expertise to key stakeholders.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Lead development of new dairy products (to agreed Product Development Brief), and continuous improvement of existing product, tender process &/or change of suppliers, shelf life testing and support capital projects
- Ensure product development processes & regulatory constraints/opportunities are taken into account when developing products
- Design, deliver and report on any bench samples, factory trials, shelf-life testing or nutritional testing, documenting and interpreting all data generated
- Develop project timelines and key milestones with business stakeholders highlighting and communicating risks appropriately. Proactively seek solutions for risk mitigation
- Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of all key development activities, including raw material & finished product specifications, factory trial reports and SAP data
- Develop a deep knowledge of functional ingredients and processing across our dairy sites.

About You
In order to make this role successful you will be an experienced NPD Technologist with a background in Food Technology, preferably with experience in the dairy industry.
Specifically, the skillsets and experience we're looking for, include:

- Experience in Product Development role, preferably dairy
- Advanced internal & external stakeholder management
- Analytical, Project Management, Problem Solving, Commercialization Experience
- Solid Product development and project management experience with proven results
- The ability to own individual projects whilst working collaboratively to manage expectations and garner support
- Degree qualified (Food Technology/Science)
