About the role:

Centered in the vibrant city of Christchurch, the luxury Fable Christchurch is looking for a Breakfast Chef to join the team to prepare and cook breakfast. This is a good opportunity for someone who is self-motivated and enjoys working early shifts to have afternoons and evenings off

This role will enable you to elevate your Culinary career within a 5 star hotel environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Day to day running of the breakfast shift
  • Managing the kitchen in the early hours
  • Receiving deliveries and manage stock rotation
  • Communicating with staff in other departments to ensure smooth services
  • General kitchen cleaning and organising
  • Ensuring the kitchen is a clean, safe and follows the food control plan

Role requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Preferably experienced with Food Control Plan
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • The ability to start early morning
  • Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
  • 100% in punctuality and attendance.
  • Reliable and hardworking
  • Good organisational skills and a high level of presentation
  • Team player with the ability to work under pressure as well as on your own
  • Ability to adhere to the Hotel's operational procedures
  • Current eligibility to work in New Zealand
