Night 'n Day Foodstores has been operating across the country for over 30 years. We are 100% New Zealand owned and operated and have 50+ stores located from Invercargill to Whangarei. The Support Centre is based in Dunedin which is the hometown of the first Night 'n Day store on Regent Road.

About the opportunity

As a Business Development Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the management of incoming lead generation, including developing strategies for growing our network of stores throughout New Zealand.

You will also assist with Project Management development and implementation for new store fit-out work, renovations and maintenance within our existing network.

We are on the lookout for a motivated person who is keen to learn and grow within the company, with the goal of efficiently and independently managing specific projects.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project Management - Develop and implement the planning and co-ordination of project management schedules to assist both the Business Development Team and the Operations Team.
  • Manage incoming leads acquisition, including initial communication, researching potential opportunities and collaborating with the Business Manager on areas of growth to expand market presence.
  • Co-ordinate, maintain and procure plant and equipment for new and existing stores.

To succeed in this role, you'll bring:

Project Planning and Problem Solving - Experienced in managing multiple projects at once, with a strong focus on planning, prioritisation, and effective problem solving. A Project Management qualification would be an advantage, but is not essential for the position.

Effective time management - The ability to prioritise tasks, deliver outcomes on time and meet deadlines.

Communication and interpersonal skills - Strong interpersonal skills for effectively communicating with external parties, including potential franchisees. Active listening and empathy to understand and build trust. Excellent written and verbal communication.

Adaptability and resilience - Ability to adapt to changing situations and challenges.

Ability to travel as required - Travel forms part of both leads development and project management and is when required, rather than at specific times during the year.

Other areas of knowledge that are desirable, but not essential:

  • FMCG knowledge
  • Franchising knowledge
  • Basic financial understanding
  • Sales skills

This is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, based in Dunedin.
