Account Manager (12-Month Contract)
Location: Auckland | Full-time, 12-month contract
Our client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join a leading provider of construction intelligence and project data solutions across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established, fast-paced business that helps suppliers, service providers, and industry professionals connect with upcoming construction projects and decision-makers.
About the Role
As an Account Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing clients, ensuring they receive maximum value from their subscription and platform access. You'll work closely with clients to understand their business objectives, support their engagement with the data and insights platform, and identify opportunities for renewal and growth.
You'll also play a key role in client retention by delivering a high level of service, developing strong relationships, and helping clients achieve measurable ROI from their investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and retain a portfolio of existing client accounts across the construction, manufacturing, and professional services sectors
- Proactively engage with clients through regular account reviews, check-ins, and training sessions
- Identify opportunities for contract renewals, upselling, and cross-selling additional services
- Develop a deep understanding of clients' business goals and industry challenges
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, customer success, and marketing, to drive client satisfaction and engagement
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and renewal pipelines using CRM systems
- Prepare and deliver reports or presentations on account performance and utilisation
About You
- Proven experience in account management, client success, or B2B relationship management (Construction experience is highly regarded)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence in discussing ROI and performance metrics with clients
- Organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple client relationships simultaneously
- Experience working with CRM systems and data-driven reporting tools
- A background or interest in the construction, architecture, or building products sector would be advantageous
