We're seeking an exceptional
Group Product Manager – Lighting & Luminaires
to join our senior leadership team and lead the strategic direction, innovation, and commercial success of our lighting division.

The Role

As
Group Lighting Product Manager
, you'll own and drive the full lighting category from specification and design through to product lifecycle, supplier partnerships, and commercial performance.

You'll bring deep technical lighting knowledge, a sharp commercial mind, and a collaborative leadership style that inspires teams and delivers tangible results.

This is a hands-on, high-influence role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes full ownership, and leads with purpose, accountability, and passion.

What You'll Do
Strategic Leadership

• Be a core member of the
  senior leadership team
  , helping shape the Group's long-term strategy.
• Develop and execute a clear
  lighting roadmap
  that aligns innovation, margin, and growth objectives.
• Foster a culture of
  ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  across teams and channels.

Product Management & Development

• Manage the full
  product lifecycle
  — concept, design, launch, and review.
• Curate and optimise the
  lighting range
  , ensuring it delivers on performance, compliance, and profitability.
• Identify and introduce
  emerging technologies and trends
  that keep Redpaths ahead of the market.
• Work closely with global suppliers and factories to ensure quality, value, and differentiation.

Specification, Projects & Tenders

• Lead lighting specification and project engagement nationally.
• Support internal and external stakeholders with
  technical lighting design, application guidance, and documentation
  .
• Build strong relationships with architects, consultants, contractors, and distributors to grow specification-driven sales.
• Oversee project pricing and tender submissions to achieve commercial targets.

Leadership & Collaboration

• Mentor internal teams and share technical expertise across the organisation.
• Partner with
  sales, marketing, and operations
  to deliver cohesive strategies and customer experiences.
• Encourage innovation and empower others to contribute ideas and improvements.

Commercial & Operational Excellence

• Monitor category
  sales, margin, and stock performance
  with proactive actions to optimise outcomes.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and maintain strategic partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with all
  lighting standards, testing, and regulatory requirements
  .
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and reporting for the lighting division.

What You Bring

• Proven
  lighting industry experience
  , ideally in product management, specification, or design.
• Strong grasp of
  lighting design principles
  , compliance, and specification workflows.
• Proficiency with
  lighting design tools
  (DIALux, Relux, or similar).
• Commercial acumen with the ability to interpret data and drive profitability.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A collaborative, accountable, and hands-on leadership approach.
• Creative problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-evolving market.
• A proactive, self-driven mindset with pride in delivering excellence.
