We have a new opportunity for a Service Delivery Engineer to join our Core Insurance Platforms team in Auckland. In this pivotal role, you'll partner with a high-performing, partner-run team to deliver top-notch run services. You'll bring your technical expertise, strategic guidance, and governance know-how to ensure services are delivered efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality.

Your key Responsibilities will include:

  • Demonstrate Suncorp's engineering expertise to team members and partners, enabling automation of repetitive and manual tasks.
  • Support the run partner with escalated issues and analysis, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support the design and delivery of operational improvements outside the scope of the run partners accountability.
  • Provide oversight and feedback on the partner performance and execution and support improvement where necessary.
  • Take the lead between platform change and run to ensure smooth migration of change into run.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in software engineering/Information Technology/related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Software development experience with several of these technologies - Cloud Services (AWS/Azure), Java, React, NodeJS, Javascript/Typescript & AWS Lambda Framework, Python, Openshift
  • AWS/Azure Certification or experience is desirable
  • Experience working in an Agile development/delivery environment
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in platform operations and service delivery
  • Ability to work autonomously within a team framework
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, and comfortable presenting materials across multiple levels of the organization. Must have strong technical knowledge and analytical skill
