Service Sales Engineer - Thermal

An exciting opportunity exists to join our high-performing Sales team as a Thermal Service Sales Engineer. In this role, you will drive sales growth and provide technical expertise in thermal equipment and systems, engaging customers to understand their needs, delivering tailored solutions, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue service sales opportunities for plate heat exchangers and other thermal equipment within the dairy, food, and industrial sectors.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate, competitive quotations based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, and closing deals.
  • Serve as the technical resource for thermal products, advising customers on product selection, sizing, and application.
  • Conduct service product presentations, demonstrations, and training for customers, and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Service Execution and Service Support teams to ensure customer specifications and expectations are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, and end-users.
  • Provide timely and effective responses to customer inquiries, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Input sales activities into CRM tools and communicate updates to management.
  • Support service engineers during the execution of service jobs by providing technical support and re-quoting works as required.
  • Assist the service execution team in managing repair and remedial works within the thermal workshop.
  • Ensure adherence to all Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to identify new sales opportunities and improve product offerings.

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Technical sales experience, ideally in thermal engineering or related sectors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Results-oriented and goal-driven mindset.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales management tools.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
