About the Role:

As the Procurement Partner, you'll collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand procurement requirements, develop procurement strategies and plans, negotiate contracts, and facilitate the procurement process to meet expectations. You will also establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring internal procurement needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Day to day you will:

  • Procurement Strategy: Provide an in-depth understanding of procurement category, supply chain challenges, business needs, and industry trends. The Procurement Partner will also be tasked with resolving any procurement related issues or concerns raised by clients and ensuring timely delivery of products or services.
  • Category Plans: Develop and implement category plans aligned with business objectives. Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, and supplier behavior to deliver optimal value. Lead negotiations with suppliers and partners to achieve favorable terms.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and industry contacts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
  • Health & Safety: Be safe - Take all reasonable precautions while at work to ensure your own safety and the safety of your co-workers, contractors, and the public. Follow our health and safety procedures and speak up about hazards and any health and safety events (incidents and accidents).

What experience you'll bring:

· Experience. Proven experience in procurement, running RFx processes, delivering savings, and contract negotiations.

  • Best Practice. Knowledge of Procurement best practices, SRM and market analysis.

  • Continuous Improvement. Focus on driving excellence in mutually beneficial commercial outcomes, whilst tightly managing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Communication: Outstanding communication skills in all formats, including the ability to make the complex and complicated, simple, and understandable. Strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and a customer-centric approach are essential for this role.

  • Stakeholder management. Proven partnering and stakeholder management capabilities and experience i.e., working effectively within and across teams and functions within a large organisation.

  • Social & relationship skills. A people person, able to build rapport and constructive working relationships with diverse groups of people.

  • Resilience & growth mindset. Operates with a growth mindset, being willing to embrace challenges, persist in the face of setbacks and seek learnings from every opportunity.

  • Independent and proactive. "Batteries included" - a positive, energetic and productive person with a bias for action and getting things done.
