We "Bay Providors " are one of major Ship Stores Supplier for Ships coming to New Zealand Ports and are based in Mount Maunganui, Tauranga. Our dedication to providing high-quality products and exceptional service has earned us a trusted reputation among shipping companies, vessel operators, and offshore industries.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Representative / Ship Chandler to join our Provisions team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that vessels are stocked with everything they need to operate smoothly and safely.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply Coordination: Manage and oversee the procurement of provisions, including food, beverages, and other essential supplies for vessels.
  • Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
  • Vendor Relations: Work closely with suppliers and vendors to source high-quality products at competitive prices.
  • Logistics & Delivery: Coordinate the logistics for timely delivery of provisions to vessels, ensuring that supplies meet the required standards and are delivered on schedule.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect and verify the quality of provisions to meet the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of orders, deliveries, and inventory.
  • Customer Service: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent service and support to ensure their needs are met. You will be required to Visit Ships on regular basis to get new business onboard and solve any issues.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the Sales or Maritime Industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of provisioning procedures and supply chain management is preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Excel).
  • Knowledge of Food Products or Ingredients is preferred, especially Indian Food, Phillipino & Chinese Food, European Food, being major part of business.
