ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Scientific Division at In Vitro continues to grow, we are seeking to appoint a full-time Inside Sales representatives to join our team in Mount Wellington, NZ. Reporting to the Life Science Business Manager, you will be responsible for the sales and promotion of the company's range of leading brands to select Life Science accounts.

To be successful you will ideally have a science background with research experience in cell biology.  You will have excellent communication and presentation skills, be self-motivated and confident with the ability to close a sale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage inbound sales enquiries from prospective and existing clients in the Life Science sector
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, addressing customer questions and objections to convert leads into sales
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive and responsive communication
• Represent the world's largest cell bank to clients across Australia, educating and engaging them on available products
• Undertake courtesy and targeted outbound calls during quieter, seasonal periods
• Contribute to ad-hoc sales initiatives and projects as needed to support business goals

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary qualification with Honours or Master's in Life Science, with a completed research project
• Minimum 1 year of laboratory-based research experience, ideally in Cell Biology, Immunology, or Translational Research
• Previous sales experience in the Life Science or biotech industry is desirable
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and building trust with clients
• Strong technical aptitude with a genuine interest in learning new products and technologies
• Commercially minded with the initiative to identify and act on business opportunities
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
• Knowledge of the NZ Life Science and biotech landscape highly regarded
