About the Role
As National Parking Manager, you will lead the the professionalisation of our parking operation, management and investment across the health estate. This is a pivotal role responsible for developing and implementing a national parking strategy that supports a nationally consistent and equitable approach to parking across Health NZ hospitals and other facilities and enables the delivery of available, safe and secure parking for staff, patients and visitors.
You'll act as the commercial subject matter expert for parking,, overseeing revenue generation, contract management, and operational delivery. Your leadership will ensure consistency, innovation, and service excellence across all regions, while also identifying opportunities for commercial optimisation and cost mitigation.
This role reports to the Head of Land and Property and is based flexibly, with a preference for Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, or Christchurch.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Infrastructure & Investment Group (IIG) is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of property and infrastructure services across Health New Zealand. Within IIG, the Land and Property team plays a critical role in managing the health estate to support equitable, accessible, and effective healthcare delivery.
About you
You're someone who knows how to make complex operations work smoothly. With solid experience in parking management, you understand the balance between access, revenue, and service. You've developed strategies, led teams, managed contracts, and delivered smart, practical solutions that make a real difference.
You're strategic but hands-on, and you enjoy working with a wide range of people. You're confident with data, budgets, and systems, and you're always looking for ways to improve.
You will bring:
- A degree in property management, valuation, or similar
- 5-7 years in a leadership role within parking management
- Proven experience managing parking services, leases, and commercial arrangements
- Strong financial and analytical skills, including feasibility modelling
- Project planning and stakeholder engagement skills
