This role suits someone who is confident working on varied sites across the North Island, can operate vehicles and equipment safely, and has the leadership skills to support a team.


What You'll Bring – Key Skills & Capabilities

  • Strong understanding of TTM requirements
  • Ability to set up, monitor and adjust sites safely throughout the day
  • Confident in identifying hazards, assessing risks, and putting effective controls in place

  • Skilled in completing safety documentation such as pre-starts, JSEAs and site checks

  • Competent in operating vehicles and equipment safely and completing daily checks

  • Able to plan and prepare equipment, signage and resources needed before leaving the yard

  • Contributes to smooth site logistics and ensures work is completed to quality standards

  • Clear and confident communicator with crews, clients and the public

  • Ability to brief teams, assign tasks and maintain morale and productivity
  • Skilled in coaching new staff and supporting capability development
  • Can manage small day-to-day challenges, encourage teamwork and uphold respectful behaviour

  • Can translate work plans into practical daily tasks for the crew

  • Logical in organising people, resources and sequencing of work

  • Able to find solutions on site, adapt to change and keep work progressing

  • Punctual, reliable and able to maintain high performance under pressure

  • Capable of completing job sheets, site reports, audits and daily documentation accurately

  • Understands project requirements and ensures work is completed to specification

  • A current STMS or TC qualification (or working towards this)
