About the Role

Depending on your qualification level, you'll be responsible for setting up and maintaining safe, compliant traffic management sites for a variety of clients across the region.

We value teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety and communication.

STMS Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
  • Lead and mentor TMOs and crew on-site
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure compliance with NZGTTM standards
  • Maintain accurate site documentation
  • Liaise with clients, RCAs, and contractors professionally

TMO Responsibilities:

  • Assist with site setup, monitoring, and pack-down
  • Place cones, signs, and devices as per TMP
  • Operate Stop/Go or portable traffic signals
  • Support STMS and crew with daily operations
  • Maintain public and crew safety at all times

What You'll Need

For STMS applicants:

  • Current STMS qualification (Cat A/B or equivalent under NZGTTM)
  • Class 1 Full Driver's License (Class 2 preferred)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and site management skills
  • Safety-first mindset and practical problem-solving ability

For TMO applicants:

  • Current TMO Warrant (TMO-P preferred)
  • Full Class 1 Driver's License
  • Physically fit, reliable, and confident working outdoors
  • Eagerness to learn and progress your career in TTM

Pre-Employment Requirements

  • Proof of right to work in New Zealand
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Current STMS or TMO certification (as applicable)
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • MOJ criminal record check
