Traffic Management NZ is one of New Zealand's leading providers of Temporary Traffic Management. We work closely with major road authorities, councils, and both public and private organisations.

The Altus Group currently delivers over 2 million hours of traffic management services each year and continues to grow.

Perm 30-40 Hours per week

 Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, monitor, and remove traffic management sites for works or events
  • Control traffic, pedestrians, and cyclists to ensure public and crew safety
  • Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans
  • Load and unload vehicles with signs and equipment
  • Perform vehicle pre-start checks and complete required paperwork
  • Conduct site hazard assessments and apply appropriate control measures
  • Maintain positive interactions with clients and the public
  • Follow all instructions from team leaders and supervisors
  • Be available for call-outs as required (including nights and weekends)
 What We're Looking For:
  • Full Class 1 minimum
  • STMS Competency
  • Class 2 Licence Preferred
  • Physically fit and able to handle manual labour
  • Clear communication skills and a strong safety mindset
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and in a team
  • Available for days, nights, and weekend shifts
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
  • Must have NZ residency or valid work visa/permit
