About the role...

This is an exciting opportunity within the FMCG industry. We are seeking a Quality Systems Officer to join our team on a 9-month fixed term contract, based in Avondale. This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate team in a business with a great workplace culture.

The Quality Systems Officer will manage and control all documentation through creating, formatting and maintaining documentation which supports manufacturing operations and compliance with RMP. You will ensure that all documents meet regulatory, operational and quality standards along with a strong focus on clarity, accuracy, and usability. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee the creation, revision, and removal of QA documents, ensuring obsolete documents are replaced with current versions.
  • Ensure all documents align with RMP and other regulatory requirements relevant to food manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical information and translate it into clear, concise, and compliant documentation.
  • Support internal audits by ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and audit ready.
  • Provide training and support to staff on document use and updates.

About you...

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a document writing or technical writing role within a manufacturing or food production environment.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Food Technology, Quality Assurance, Technical Writing, or related field (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting, templates, and styles.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, safety-first mindset.
