About the role...

This is an exciting opportunity within the FMCG Industry. We are seeking a Quality Officer to join our Quality team based in Avondale. This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate team in a business with a great workplace culture and a strong focus on learning and development. Reporting to the Quality & Compliance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting daily line checking and sampling, coordinate product samples for testing and retention, and conduct sensory and chemical analysis of products
  • Equipment calibration, monitoring of hygiene, staff training and ensuring compliance to SOP's
  • The opportunity to provide assistance with product development trials and continuous improvement initiatives, so the role offers considerable scope for personal growth

About you....

  • A science-based degree (Food Tech, Food Science or similar)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working in a Quality environment
  • Understanding and experience in control of HACCP and RMP quality systems in the food industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication, ability to communicate in a clear and convincing manner

  • A positive "can-do" attitude

  • A proactive, safety-first mindset
