National Field Sales Representative – Point of Care Diagnostics

Mediray is proud to be the NZ distributor for Abbott Rapid Diagnostics (ARDx), one of the world's most trusted names in point-of-care testing. We're expanding our team and looking for a high-performing field sales professional to grow ARDx across multiple healthcare markets.

If you love being on the road, opening new doors, and closing deals with a wide range of customers, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

We will consider candidates who live close to a major Airport, Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. This role is field based and covers the entire country, so the right candidate must be happy to travel over night regularly.

About the Role

This is a national field sales role responsible for driving growth of the ARDx portfolio into:

GP clinics, Sexual health providers, Pharmacies, Aged care facilities, NGOs and community health, Point-of-care clinics and Emergency Departments

You'll be the face of ARDx in New Zealand—building relationships, identifying new opportunities, and working to sell the Rapid Diagnostic Range to NZ Customers.

This role is ideal for someone who is:

  • A true hunter who thrives on finding and converting new business
  • Confident in front of clinical and commercial audiences
  • Self-driven, organised, and happy managing a national territory
  • Skilled at building long-term relationships in healthcare settings
  • Frequent travel and regular overnight stays are expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow national sales of ARDx products across a diverse customer base
  • Develop and execute a territory plan focused on new business acquisition
  • Conduct regular customer visits, demos, presentations, and training sessions
  • Build strong relationships with decision-makers and clinical stakeholders
  • Maintain an active pipeline and accurate CRM records (Zoho)
  • Provide market insights, competitor feedback, and commercial input to the Mediray leadership team
  • Represent Mediray professionally at events, conferences, and workshops

About You

You'll bring:

  • Proven success in field sales (healthcare preferred, but strong hunters from other industries encouraged to apply)
  • Confidence engaging with clinicians, managers, pharmacists, and senior decision-makers
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong planning, organisation, and follow-through
  • High levels of self-motivation and resilience
  • A valid driver's licence and ability to travel nationally
  • Desirable: Science/medical background, experience in diagnostics or point-of-care testing.
