Synopsis of the role

Equifax Canada is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Operations Leader to drive the productivity of a diverse portfolio including implementation, technology, onboarding, and an outbound calling center supporting the Workforce Solutions Business in Canada.  This role is unique, spanning multiple functions and is crucial in ensuring seamless operations, effective team management, and exceptional customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the operational performance of the Employment Income Verification (EIV) exchange.

What you will do
  • People Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. This includes performance reviews, career development, and conflict resolution.

  • Capacity Management: Optimize resource allocation and workflow to ensure efficient handling of all operational activities within the portfolio, including implementation projects, technology support, onboarding processes, and outbound calling initiatives.

  • Customer-Facing Problem Solving: Directly engage with customers to resolve complex operational issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes. This requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Technical Problem Solving: Apply high-level technical skills to diagnose and resolve inbound data problems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across all platforms.

  • Operational Performance of EIV Exchange: Take full ownership of the operational performance of the Employment Income Verification (EIV) exchange, ensuring its stability, efficiency, and compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on operational performance, identifying trends and recommending strategic improvements.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, product development, and IT, to ensure alignment of operational goals with overall business objectives.

What Experience You Need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

  • 7+ years of experience working in an Operations Leadership role, preferably within the financial services or data management industry.

  • Strong understanding of implementation processes, technology operations, and call center management.

  • Demonstrated ability in people management, including coaching, mentoring, and performance development.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong technical aptitude, particularly in data analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience with capacity planning and resource optimization.

  • Knowledge of the Employment Income Verification (EIV) process is highly desirable.

  • Production de rapports et d'analyses : Développer et maintenir des indicateurs de rendement clé (IRC) et fournir des rapports réguliers sur le rendement opérationnel, en cernant les tendances et en recommandant des améliorations stratégiques.

  • Collaboration interfonctionnelle : Travailler en étroite collaboration avec d'autres services, notamment les ventes, le développement de produits et l'informatique, afin d'assurer l'harmonisation des objectifs opérationnels avec les objectifs généraux de l'entreprise

Expérience nécessaire
  • Baccalauréat en administration des affaires, en gestion de l'exploitation, en technologie de l'information ou dans un domaine connexe. Une maîtrise est un atout.

  • Plus de sept ans d'expérience dans un poste de direction de l'exploitation, de préférence dans le secteur des services financiers ou de la gestion des données.

  • Forte compréhension des processus de mise en œuvre, des activités technologiques et de la gestion des centres d'appels.

  • Capacité éprouvée en gestion de personnes, y compris l'encadrement, le mentorat et l'amélioration du rendement.

  • Compétences exceptionnelles en résolution de problèmes et fortes aptitudes techniques, notamment en matière d'analyse de données et de dépannage.

  • Excellentes aptitudes à la communication, tant écrite qu'orale, avec la capacité d'articuler des renseignements techniques complexes à des parties prenantes non techniques.

  • Expérience de la planification de la capacité et de l'optimisation des ressources.
