Who are we?

Mako Civil Contracting is a drainage and earthworks company based in Whangarei delivering successful projects across the Civil, Residential, Commercial and Industrial sectors .

What's the opportunity?

In order to support our growing work load we are looking for  Certified Drainlayers, Experienced Drainlayers, and experienced heavy machinery operators to join our team.

Our ideal candidates will have the following:

- Certified Drainlayer ticket / or be experienced in drainlaying and the operation of heavy machinery - diggers ranging in sizes, bobcats, padfoot etc.

- Industry experience in Civil drainlaying or earthworks

- A Class 1 full license

- A class 2 license with WTR licence is preferred but not essential

- Physically fit

- Able to work unsupervised

  • Able to set up job sites

  • work within a team

  • Read plans and identify steps to running job smoothly and execute them

  • Positive attitude, with the ability to be a team player

-Commitment to safety

-Willingness and ability to travel to different sites in Whangarei area as required

-Undertake pre employment drug testing and medical
