The Role

As a Business Development Representative your focus will be on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across our Auckland Region. You'll really know your stuff and be expert in building long-term partnerships and delivering tailored solutions that meet our client's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Actively scope new business opportunities and develop a pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Act on leads through cold calling or face to face meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations and tenders to potential clients.
  • Onboard new customers and provide exemplary customer service to ensure ongoing satisfaction.
  • Collaborate closely with our operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify opportunities.
  • Promote and maintain a positive company image, uphold our brand and values.

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Warehousing, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of warehousing operations, container shipping and LCL freight.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • You're a 'people person' who can build rapport, trust and influence decision makers.
  • Self-driven, organised.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Committed to continuous improvement with the ability to formulate and execute strategies.
  • Analytical thinker, detail oriented.
