About the role | Mō te tūranga mahi

We are looking for a Workforce Planner with a strong analytical mindset to join our team, aligning workforce requirements with strategic and operational needs through data analysis, proactive forecasting, modelling and capacity planning to support scheduling and real time requirements.

Responsibilities include developing forecasts, providing recommendations and insights based on data. Analysing data sets to support busy environments with complex findings in accessible formats for decision-makers. Develop and maintain varied modelling for different work types, validating values with system data and stakeholder input.

You can work independently while being part of a supportive team. Our team is based in various locations throughout New Zealand, yet we maintain a close-knit and supportive environment. You are proactive and willing to take the initiative to reach out to team members for assistance whenever needed. You will be proactive at identifying skill gaps and developing programs to bridge them.

  • Proven skills in workload management and a strong background with workforce management tools (e.g., Genesys Cloud).
  • Expertise in developing medium- and long-term forecasting and modelling
  • Ability to map out the impact of business campaigns, seasonal spikes, and operational changes on workforce requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Skills in stakeholder influence and collaboration to ensure alignment on workforce strategies.
  • Customer-focused with advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, Python, and PowerBI.
  • Cultural competency in Māori and/or Pacific cultures is ideal

The appointing salary for this role will sit between $90,039 and $110,047 and we offer an additional 9% superannuation contribution. ACC offer a comprehensive benefits package, including an advantageous superannuation scheme with features like 0% contribution required by you, optional life and income protection insurance, and the flexibility to change to a locked plan at any time, ensuring your financial security now and in retirement.
