Auckland CBD, New Zealand McCrae Tech Full time

Are you an early-career Technical Communicator or Technical Writer with 1–2 years' experience, ready to step into a role where your work directly supports a live product and real users?

McCrae Tech is a fast-growing health-tech company building intelligent, AI-powered platforms that are reshaping how healthcare operates. We're looking for a curious technical communicator who understands the fundamentals of technical writing and is keen to grow in a commercial, product-focused environment.

About McCrae Tech

McCrae Tech develops advanced healthcare technology powered by AI and a modern data platform. Our flagship product, Orchestral, embeds Agentic AI to help healthcare organisations work smarter and deliver better outcomes.

We're a pragmatic, delivery-focused team that values clarity, ownership, and momentum. Documentation here is not an afterthought — it's a core part of how our product succeeds.

The Role

As a Technical Communicator, you'll work closely with engineers, product managers, and subject-matter experts to produce clear, accurate, and usable documentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and maintaining user guides, online help content, release notes, and internal documentation
  • Translating complex technical concepts into clear, audience-appropriate language
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to gather information and validate technical accuracy
  • Supporting product releases with high-quality, ready-to-use documentation
  • Contributing to documentation standards, templates, and style guides

We're looking for:

  • 1–2 years' experience in technical writing, technical communication, or a related role
  • Strong written communication skills with a clear, structured writing style
  • Confidence working with technical subject matter and asking thoughtful questions
  • High attention to detail and a practical, organised approach
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Experience with Confluence or similar documentation platforms
  • Exposure to HTML, documentation-as-code, or structured authoring tools
  • Interest in software platforms, AI, or healthcare technology

Why Us?

This is an opportunity to do meaningful, visible work early in your career. You'll gain hands-on experience with a live product, work alongside experienced technical professionals, and contribute to technology that improves healthcare outcomes.
