The opportunity

Infotools is seeking a talented DevSecOps Lead to join our team in Takapuna, Auckland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of secure DevOps practices within the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement DevSecOps strategies and processes to ensure secure, efficient and reliable software delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security considerations into every stage of the software development lifecycle
  • Automate security testing, compliance checks and other security-related tasks to enhance the overall security posture
  • Continuously monitor and improve the security of the organisation's cloud infrastructure and applications
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team on secure coding practices, threat identification and mitigation
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies and best practices, and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Ensure all projects and systems comply with relevant security standards and regulations

What we're looking for

  • Substantial experience (8+ years) in a DevSecOps or similar role, with a strong background in software development and security
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security, container security, infrastructure as code, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
  • Expertise in automating security testing, vulnerability management, and incident response processes
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash, and experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate security risks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with industry security standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., OWASP, NIST, PCI-DSS)
