Mō te tūranga | About the Role
The Portfolio Head - Transaction Banking Products is a key leadership role where you will be at the forefront of shaping and executing the strategic direction and objectives for your portfolio that spans wholesale and agency banking product set, open banking and key payment integrations.

You will drive all key deliverables across the portfolio, including delivery of a roadmap whilst appropriately managing risk. You will deliver new products to market and drive growth across the portfolio

Your leadership will ensure our product suite remains competitive in the market, ensuring both customer satisfaction and commercial success. In this role you will also lead and develop a high performing team of product professionals, and successfully influence across Westpac New Zealand and the wider industry.

The role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and decision-making abilities who can inspire and role model effective product management across the team. This role offers the opportunity to lead initiatives that will transform our target state experience and make a significant impact on the future of Westpac New Zealand driving innovation and growth.

• Proven experience in a people leadership role
• Significant product management experience preferably within financial services
• Experience in delivering new products to market and driving growth
• Transactional banking product experience
• A strong track record in evaluating and implementing successful strategic recommendations
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience leading across a value chain, managing financial and operational risk and creating a high-performance culture for your team
• Influencing and relationship building to an Executive level
• Strategy, risk, or product governance experience
