Bank of Baroda (New Zealand) Ltd Invites application for the post of IT & Digital Officer for its office in Auckland.

The role of a IT & Digital Officer in our bank would broadly include (but not limited to):

  • Coordinate with the IT teams for issue resolution, reporting, and tracking of development requests.
  • Implement cybersecurity measures and ensure adherence to RBNZ, AML/CFT, and data protection standards.
  • Maintain SLAs, oversee vendor performance, and ensure timely renewals and issue resolution.
  • Translate digital enhancement needs into clear business requirements, manage approvals, and oversee UAT and implementation.
  • Preparation of Business Requirement Document (BRD) and raise new system requirement to the IT Teams.
  • Use data insights to improve products and monitor market trends to identify innovation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and UX/UI specialists to ensure user-friendly digital experiences.
  • Monitor and optimise digital platforms and network operations for performance and scalability.
  • Define and review operational rules, policies, and dashboards to meet audit and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain and enforce IT security policies, support audits, and ensure timely closure of findings.
  • Manage ISMS and coordinate VAPT activities in line with regulatory guidelines.
  • Implement proactive monitoring tools to maintain system health and uptime.
  • Support ongoing business and operational needs as assigned by the bank.
  • System and hardware installation and maintenance.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Departmental Head / Branch Head / Management.

Educational Background: Bachelor's / Master's degree in one of the following (minimum requirement):

  • Information Technology / Computer Science
  • Information Systems
  • Engineering (IT / Electronics / Communications) or related discipline

Working Experience:Minimum 3 year experience in banking, fintech, or financial IT operations.

Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience with:

  • Core banking systems and digital channels (internet banking, mobile banking apps, debit card, ATM)
  • IT security, risk management, and RBNZ regulatory compliance
  • Vendor and SLA management
  • Network and infrastructure monitoring tools
  • Digital product implementation and UAT

Key Skills:

  • Good understanding of local IT and data-protection regulations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-coordination skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability with a data-driven mindset
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity frameworks, ISMS, and IT policy governance
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, product, compliance)

Work Type: A 12-month fixed-term role that may transition to permanent employment depending on performance.
