As Asset Manager – Water Services, you'll

  • Maintain and improve asset management plans for water, wastewater, and stormwater, and contribute to wider infrastructure strategy.
  • Identify and scope capital projects and brief the programme delivery team.
  • Lead the asset renewals planning process and manage its implementation.
  • Coach and support the Asset Information Officer to ensure asset data is accurate, complete, and well maintained.
  • Oversee the maintenance and use of hydraulic models to inform planning, development, and investment decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of asset management systems and frameworks.
  • Build strong relationships with iwi, regulators, service providers, and the community

We're looking for a natural collaborator who brings common sense, technical rigor, and a solutions mindset.  You'll have:

  • A tertiary qualification in engineering, asset management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in asset management planning — water sector experience is welcome but not essential.
  • Strategic capabilities with a data-informed decision-making approach.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A focus on delivery, improvement, innovation, and teamwork.
