We are looking for an intern to join our team on a casual basis. As part of your role as the Asset Management Intelligence Intern you will be supporting and assisting the Asset Management Intelligence Team in the delivery of infrastructure services for the Napier City Council.

**Responsibilities include**
- Support the coordinated delivery of projects such as roads - major reconstruction and minor works including roundabouts, carparks, sportsgrounds, associated utility works, other civil engineering works throughout the city of Napier under direction.
- Assist with time and resource planning and management following best practice under direction.
- Support the development and management of construction contracts for projects under direction.
- Provide good record keeping particularly with in-field data acquisition and integrate that information into Council systems
- Capture data to enable continual improvement of service delivery

**Essential requirements are**:

- NCEA Level 3
- A willingness to adapt and work collaboratively with others
- Report writing skills, suitable to a local government audience
- A desire to learn and be mentored in asset management related topics and practical activities
- Personal integrity, confidentiality and high ethical standards.
- A sense of adventure and a keenness to work safely outdoors in industrial and public environments
