We're looking for a dynamic and strategic leader to join the finance lead team as Head of Commercial Finance. This is a pivotal, high impact role for an experienced commercial strategist who thrives on influencing at the highest level and driving sustainable growth.

As the CFO's key strategic partner and 2IC, you will lead a team of three Commercial Business Partners and champion commercial excellence across the organisation. Your insights and leadership will shape executive decision-making, embed financial discipline, and align operational performance with long-term strategic objectives.  You will work closely with a variety of teams to develop, negotiate, and manage customer and partner contracts that deliver value for both MOVE and its customers.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Influence: Drive commercial strategy and performance, acting as the CFO's right hand on all commercial initiatives.
  • Strategic Impact: Provide robust financial insights, scenario modelling, and risk analysis to influence executive and board-level decisions.
  • Performance Leadership: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
  • Commercial Excellence: Optimise pricing strategies, contract performance, and capital investment decisions to maximise returns.
  • Transformation & Growth: Support major projects including fleet upgrades, technology investments, and network expansion.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a senior commercial leader or CFO 2IC.
  • 10+ years in commercial, finance, or strategy roles with executive-level influence.
  • Strong track record in financial modelling, strategic planning, and performance management.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • CA/CPA qualified or equivalent; MBA or similar post-graduate qualification preferred.
